Mr̥gatr̥shṇā. Mishra, K. P. (Krushna Prasad). [Kaṭaka] : Kaṭaka shṭuḍeṇts shṭora, [1968]. From the University of Chicago Library.
ମୃଗତୃଷ୍ଣା Mrigatrishna by କୃଷ୍ଣ ପ୍ରସାଦ ମିଶ୍ର Krishna Prasad Mishra.
Mrigatrishna apparently means “mirage” in Hindi, so it might be safe to assume it’s the same in Odia. But I feel nearly helpless now that Google Translate no longer supports Odia! That was the best and easiest tool for typing and getting a basic idea for transliteration and translation. Darn!
Anyway, just look at this gorgeous illustration! What a lovely little chital! The lettering also seems to have the same feeling – the sharp, tapered verticals and the whimsical curls. I absolutely adore this one!
