An ad in Kannada for the film “Bhale Huḍhuga” (Kannada: ಭಲೆ ಹುಡುಗ), written in a variety of hand-lettered styles in the Bangalore newspaper, Prajavani, Nov. 17, 1978. I love the angular, broad-nibbed pen style in the middle image. Lots of personality and interesting shape definition – a great contrast to the extremely round styles of Kannada that we commonly see today.
