Tamal̲in̲ cir̲appu by Ki. Ā. Pe. Vicuvanātam. Cen̲n̲ai : Vir̲pan̲ai urimai Pāri Nilaiyam, 1969. From the University of Chicago Library.
தமிழின் சிறப்பு Tamilin Sirappu, by கி.ஆ.பெ. விசுவநாதம் K.A.P. Viswanatham. I’m enjoying the seriffed, Latin “reverse contrast” style in this example.
K.A.P. Viswanatham was a Tamil scholar, orator, and social activist, authoring over 23 books in his lifetime. This work, and others of his can be found on Archive.org. There are some other great lettering examples in that bunch, so check ’em out!
